Simon has been Managing Partner of Osborne Clarke since 2003, responsible for the day to day running of the firm across the UK, US and Germany and overseeing its strategic direction.

Immediately prior to becoming Managing Partner, Simon headed the firm's Silicon Valley office where he assisted UK companies doing business in the US and US businesses and private equity/venture capital funds on their European investments and M&A transactions. Prior to that Simon led Osborne Clarke's corporate and private equity businesses.

Also a very experienced lawyer specialising in private equity and M&A, Simon's career has encompassed working on both countless national and international mid market transactions across a wide variety of market sectors and authoring a leading text on M&A. Simon is regarded as an excellent negotiator and deal manager and for his understanding of the underlying business objectives in any transaction.

As Managing Partner, Simon has pursued a modernising agenda that has seen the firm experience significant growth, particularly in its City office, which has built a solid reputation as a leading corporate adviser.

Simon's leadership has resulted in the firm winning some important awards including Law Firm of The Year (Legal Week, 2006) and Technology Law Firm of the Year (European Technology Forum, 2006).
