Julia is a commercial partner who specialises in advice to the defence sector.
Julia has advised on a number of high profile defence transactions in recent years including the Warship Support Modernisation Initiative PPP, the Future Defence Supply Chain PPP and the Future Provision of Marine Services PPP. Julia is also experienced in negotiating alliancing and collaboration agreements and joint ventures and other commercial arrangements. In March 2009 Julia advised Babcock Marine on the contractual arrangements to design and build 200 front line armoured Jackal and Coyote vehicles to satisfy an urgent operational requirement for Afghanistan.
Julia joined Osborne Clarke in December 2007 from Bond Pearce in Bristol where she was Head of Projects. She read law at Durham University, trained with Norton Rose and worked for that City firm until 1993. After a spell in Hong Kong Julia moved to the West Country in 1994.
