
Paul specialises in commercial and intellectual property law, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements
particularly in the digital media and e-commerce sectors.
He has specialised in legal work relating to the interactive entertainment industry since 1988, and advises several leading
interactive entertainment publishers and developers. Paul has been at the forefront of the development of alternative methods
to finance the development of computer games. He represented a leading interactive entertainment publisher in connection with
the financing of the development of two slates of interactive entertainment products backed by completion bonds. He has also
represented a leading fund in connection with several projects in which the fund financed the development of interactive entertainment
products.
Paul is named by the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners' guides to top law firms as the UK's leading lawyer in the interactive
entertainment industry. He is also a trustee of ESC, the charitable organisation of the UK interactive entertainment industry.
Paul started his career at Titmuss Sainer & Webb (now Dechert), where he qualified in 1987 and was made a partner in 1992.
He joined Osborne Clarke as a partner in 1998.
