International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Arvato Financial Solutions on its seven figure investment in Berlin-based technology company solarisBank AG. The financing round, spearheaded by Arvato Financial Solutions, will allow solarisBank to roll out its banking platform internationally. In total, solarisBank has raised €26.3m in this investment round.

The Bertelsmann financial services provider subsidiary with 7,000 employees in 22 countries offers innovative and flexible complete solutions for efficient management of customer relationships and payment flows. solarisBank has a technologically advanced banking platform for FinTech companies, established digital companies and banks, and since March 2016 a full banking license.

An Osborne Clarke team led by banking partner Dr Matthias Terlau has advised Arvato Financial Solutions comprehensively on this transaction. The team also included Mark Gebauer, Patrick Smith (both banking), Nicolas Gabrysch, Rouven Siegemund, Till-Manuel Saur (all Corporate / M&A), Konstantin Ewald and Felix Hilgert (IT law).
