Osborne Clarke advises on major SoundCloud investment

Osborne Clarke has advised Silicon Valley Venture Capital investor Kleiner Perkins Caudfield & Buyers (Kleiner Perkins) on a major investment in SoundCloud, the leading social sound platform.

Kleiner Perkins is one of the world’s leading VC funds, specialising in investment in the Digital, Greentech and Life Sciences sectors.

Berlin based SoundCloud is a fast-growing audio focused social media site, which allows users to share music and other sounds.

Osborne Clarke advised Kleiner Perkins alongside its US lawyers, Fenwick & West from its unique trans-Atlantic combination of European lawyers in its Silicon Valley Office (Resident Partner, Steve Wilson), UK office (Simon Jones) and Cologne office with a team led by Technology Partner Konstantin Ewald. The team also included Partner Nicolas Gabrysch, Associates Benjamin Mohnheim and Mathias Kaufmann and Lawyer Tim Alexander-Rupp.

SoundCloud was advised by Brown Rudnick.
