Oonagh joined OC in November 2016 as the FIG Training & Know How Lawyer providing support to the funds and payments teams.

She spent the last 5 years at Allen & Overy LLP, providing support to the financial services regulatory team, primarily focusing on sell side regulatory change including in relation to regulatory capital requirements, bank recovery and resolution and the new market abuse regime. During her time at A&O, Oonagh was seconded to Andrew Tyrie’s Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards for nine months and was tasked with constructing what is now called the new ‘Senior Managers Regime’ which governs senior individuals within the banking industry. Oonagh was actively engaged in the BBA, AFME and ICMA working groups on bank recovery and resolution on behalf of A&O.

Prior to her time at A&O, she was Assistant General Counsel at Citigroup for 5 years providing legal support to their EMEA consumer investments business.

Oonagh qualified as a tax associate in January 2005 before moving across to the area of financial services regulatory.
