Laurent is a Partner and heads the tax practice in Brussels.
Laurent is specialised in all aspects of corporate and personal tax, with extensive experience in carrying out international transactions.
His practice focuses on corporate structuring/restructuring, the tax aspects of M&A, private equity, investment funds and treasury centres, high net worth individuals and expats issues.
He serves both publicly-traded and closely held businesses, both at the level of the companies and the ultimate shareholders.
Before joining Osborne Clarke in 2015, he spent over 15 years working in a top-tier Benelux law firm.
He is ranked as a tax expert in Chambers & Partners (Global, 2014, 2015, Europe 2018) and is recommended by Legal 500 (EMEA, 2018). Clients appreciate that he “is able to be innovative and can think outside the box to find answers” (Chambers, Europe, 2018).
He is a member of the International Fiscal Association, has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 2000 and is also adjunct professor at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP-Europe).
Laurent holds a Post-graduate degree in Tax from the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales (Brussels), a Post-graduate degree in Economics from the Leuven Management School – Vlerick, and a certificate on Comparative Tax Policy and Administration from Harvard University (J.F. Kennedy School).
