Colette is an Associate in the real estate litigation team in London. Her work spans a number of sectors, with a focus on clients operating in the Energy & Utilities, Real Estate & Infrastructure and Retail & Consumer sectors. Colette has a broad expertise, having acted for and advised developers, corporate occupiers and investment funds on a wide range of real estate issues.

Colette handles all aspects of commercial landlord and tenant disputes including lease renewals, dilapidation’s claims, service charge disputes, breaches of covenants, forfeiture, break clause disputes and alienation. She has a particular specialism in advising on business rates.

She advises developers on typical issues affecting development sites, such as the enforceability of restrictive covenants, rights of light and the interpretation of option agreements.

She also advises developers on a range of residential property law issues, including tenant’s breaches of residential leases, tenant’s “rights of first refusal”, possession claims and statutory service charge consultation issues.

Colette regularly advises a number of the firm’s renewable energy clients in relation to property matters affecting their generation sites.

Colette is a member of both the Property Litigation Association and the Junior London Solicitors Litigation Association.
