This is the perfect opportunity to  gain first-hand experience of life and work at Osborne Clarke.

Each placement runs for one week during June and July or Easter in our Bristol, London and Thames Valley offices. The scheme is open to penultimate year law students, final year non law students, graduates and those considering a career change.

During the placement you will be given an invaluable insight into our business, the sectors and markets in which we operate and the people who work here. We offer a structured week long programme of work experience with the  aim of getting  you involved in real working situations. You will be assigned to a trainee solicitor and an experienced fee earner and you can expect to be doing everything from taking notes at client meetings, preparing bundles of documents, helping out with disclosure and researching cases. During the week, we hold talks and visits to provide information on our other practice areas and we give you the opportunity to undertake a mini placement with a different legal team. Alongside the work experience, social events organised by the trainees are held throughout the week giving you the opportunity to build relationships and contacts and learn more about the culture and work of the firm.

The scheme offers you the chance to demonstate your suitability for a training contract and if at the end of the placement, your appetite has been whetted for a career in law, you could be invited to a final interview and presentation exercise with a partner panel and if successful at this stage you will be offered a training contract.
